As part of the planned changes for Crossrail/Elizabeth Line West Ealing station is now run by TfL.  This should mean the station is staffed for longer in the day now.  The next change is the much longer Crossrail trains taking over from Heathrow Connect trains, so giving additional capacity.

There’s a while to go before we get the new station but Julian Bell is confident that it will be ready by late 2019 in time for the full opening of Crosrail when we can travel the full length of the line. Until then, the western end of Crossrail will stop at Paddington though late next year I think you will be able to change at Paddington to get on the eastbound Crossrail trains.
