It’s happened in a bit of a hurry but good news from TfL that Ealing Council’s bid for funding under the Liveable Neighbourhoods scheme has cleared the first hurdle.  It has been given the money to work on its plans for a bid of £8.6 million.

The heart of the bid will be detailed plans for new walking and cycling routes through the town centre and to the new station (due late 2019), reducing rat-running, wide-ranging improvements along the Broadway and a proposal to re-design Dean Gardens to make it safer, add new activities for children and teenagers and make it a destination park for this ever-more heavily built up area.
