A2Dominion have submitted a planning application for the old Woolworth’s site in West Ealing. It was due last year but has been delayed. In the meantime, many hundreds of people signed West Ealing Centre Neighbourhood Forum’s petition to save the art-deco facade on the old Woolworth;’s building.

  • The headlines for A2Dominion’s plans for the site are:
  • Complete demolition of the old building so the art-deco facade goes
  • 120 flats
  • Up to 11-storeys high at the front on the Uxbridge Rd
  • Up to 15-storeys high at the back on Singapore Rd

It will be taller than any of the nearby buildings on the Green Man Lane Estate (also an A2Dominion development), on the new Sherwood Close development or in the West Ealing shopping centre.

The application can be found on the Council’s website

The closing date for comments is 8th June.
